Keith Kelly hails from Drogheda in the wee county of Louth. He caught the djin bug in 1998, cutting his teeth playing drum 'n' bass and techno at local house parties, illegal gatherings and small night clubs. The BPM of the music he plays has mellowed considerably since then, having been blown away by a six hour Mr Scruff set in Dublin in 2001. "It opened my eyes (and ears) to a world of music which i never new existed." Many hours since then have been spent trawling through record shops and internet sites in search of plastic gems. A true music lover, Keith's sets cover a wide range of styles from old skool hip hop and reggae through to disco, afro beat and maybe some d'n'b if he's felling nostalgic. "If its got a groove and its well thought out i'm interested". *Keith is also a keen drummer and plays congas in local Afro Cuban\Brazilian band Cachimbo. He dj's regularly around the country and is a member of the "External Sounds" collective who run a monthly knees up at The Purple Room in Drogheda. The External Sounds guys have been busy over the last two years. With a hectic dj schedule and festival gigs including Electric Picnic, Sibin and the blissful Electric Elephant festival in Croatia.
